My very first recipe for a vegan meatball was in The Everyday Vegan. That recipe isn’t a traditional meatball, more of an asian-fusion with flavors of hoisin, miso, cilantro and paired with a sweet and sour sauce.
Out goes December with its indulgent dinners and desserts… and in comes January with cleanses, detox plans, and unfortunately – quick-fix diets. Silly diet programs aside, do you do cleanses or detox plans this time of year? I have never done a cleanse or detox. I could very well benefit from one, I”m not sure! I just haven’t ever done so!
As parents raising children on a plant-based diet, the question of protein is always present and we question ourselves. After researching we come to know how a vegan diet provides ample protein, and are at ease with the issue.Yet the question remains, as we are often asked about protein by friends, family, and new vegetarians and vegans.
