Out goes December with its indulgent dinners and desserts… and in comes January with cleanses, detox plans, and unfortunately – quick-fix diets. Silly diet programs aside, do you do cleanses or detox plans this time of year? I have never done a cleanse or detox. I could very well benefit from one, I”m not sure! I just haven’t ever done so!
I feel as though I haven't made a good vegetarian dish in a while, what with leftovers over the holiday break, the veggies are feeling a little neglected. So I am apologizing to the greens with a healthy dish that made up of almost entirely vegetable. My body, my mind and my stomach will appreciate the nutrition and so will yours:
The forecast has been dismal and there have been threats of power outages. Since we have an electric stove I made a pot of soup that I could heat up on the wood burning stove. I was in the mood for something with kale, had sweet potatoes, onions, carrots and of course garlic on hand, the brain wheels were turning.
